Looks like Santa brought me an early present!

This is little no name, lol. He showed up on the porch yesterday and I fell in love! He is a little wary of fast movement but very friendly and very smart. He's already getting the hang of potty training! I haven't settled on a name yet, nothing that has come to mind really fits so any suggestions are welcome. He's had a bath and we got a new collar and a chew bone to keep him occupied at night, today I'll go get some more supplies. He DEFINITELY needs a good worming, his little belly is very tight, but it looks like he's already been neutered. I think he is either some kind of english setter mix, or maybe part cattlle dog. He's actually exactly the type of dog I had in mind to be able to go trail riding with me! I am going to take him with me to the farm today and introduce him to Jack!

Yes, we asked around the neighborhood and one of the ladies down the street saw someone get out of a car and put him in my yard yesterday afternoon, poor baby.

He looks like a Mister to me :) Maybe even a Riley....

He is so perfect it's ridiculous! He has gotten the hang of house training in less 3 days, is perfect at the farm, isn't overly dominant but isn't too submissive either. I don't think he's quite 4 months old, he still has all his puppy teeth. I have been looking to see what he might be and he looks so much like a German Short hair Pointer it's not even funny. If he's mixed with something he definitely took after one side of his family, lol.

It may sound a bit strange,I've gotten a few looks, but I decided on his name. Bird.
My grandpa trained gun dogs for quail hunting(English Setters and Pointers, Brittanys, and German Shorthairs) and was a truck driver, his CB name was Bird Dog. He has to be looking down and chuckling right now:p
He's my little Turd Bird.
And, he is a bird dog.
Also, he responded to it the best. In short, I am extremely besotted already!

So adorable! And already fixed! You lucky girl! The only ones that get dropped off at our farm are mutts with bad house manners and a full set!

Thanks! He is definitely settling in now and getting a bit more feisty, but still a little gem.
He is everyones buddy, but he knows who mom is. Last night I had to let him in the bathroom while I showered because he sat and wailed at the door the whole time.

He looks adorable. As the owner of several discarded dogs I always say
