Lost a darn good dog today :(

Not sure why I'm even posting this but, we just lost our 13+ Doberman. :( she was THE best dog ever. An honest dog. She was small, 60lbs but had the heart of a big dog. I got her as a pup and she was my shop dog till I got married. Then the wife brought her home. When our daughter was born, everyone said to get rid of the dog so she wouldn't hurt the baby. They bonded the second they met and if our daughter cried the dog was there to help. When we moved, she walked the property and was home. She'd sit to be dressed up and have her nails painted. But if anyone caused her any concern she would stand her ground. She protected her family and was loved for it. Well tonight when we came in she was sick. Really sick, all we could do was love her as she took her last breaths. She had us all there and I can only guess that's what she waited for. Ughhhh well there's that. And we're pretty darn gloomy

There's no better thing that can be said for a dog, ..."good dog". I bet she was a good one. She had a good life, but still , I am sure there's a hole in your heart tonight.

I'm so sorry for your loss.. I know how much it hurts :(

At least she has gone to a lovely place without any pain. And she knows you'll always love her. Thanks for giving her a chance despite what everyone said.

Mother Nature let us put her in the ground this evening. She was layed atop her favorite pillow and her stone is made. I miss her meeting me in the driveway already. Thank y'all for the nice words and thoughts. She really was a good dog.
