DH has been campaigning for a "kick" dog (that's what his family calls toy breeds, which they actually love and spoil rotten) and I have finally waved the white flag of surrender - he paid ANOTHER visit to the local shelter earlier this week and found this little guy, who will be coming home with us tonight after work:
I knew I was sunk when he sent me this picture ----
How could I say no to either one of those faces, lol.
Haha "kick" dogs surprisingly my aunt calls them that as well lol... but she means it she hates dogs and noticed the little ones love to nip at her feet so she is not a fan of them
However that is a cute little monster you got there :P
So, Bogey (as he has been named), has been home for almost a week now. He's settling in well -had a rough couple of first days as he seemed a bit depressed after all he'd been through with being picked up as a stray, being in the shelter for three days and then winding up in our insane household. He's got a definite bounce in his step now, though. We are working on housetraining - he's a marker - and he's scheduled for neutering at the end of the month (sooner if they have any cancelllations!). The big dogs took his arrival in stride and my Ziva (german shepherd) just wants to play with him - she has gone so far as to take her favorite toy, the one NO ONE is allowed to touch, over to try and entice him but he really doesn't seem to have much experience being with other dogs so he's still sorting out what to do.
All in all, once we get the marking thing corrected, I think he'll be a great little addition.
