Meet Fabio, the fabulous

Fabio is the most fabulous chicken I've ever seen, so when I saw it go up for auction yesterday, I was in love. He or she is now one very tame house chicken! I'm sure the Cochin bantams and game bantams outside are very jealous by now.

Thank you! It is a Silkie chicken and my animal hating husband is letting him roam the house. It just kills me.

Thank you! This is my first silkie. Makes me wish I wasn't too old for 4H!

You might check to see if your county has any "open class" options for adults/non-4-H members. Not all counties do, and some counties restrict it to non-animal classes, but it's worth a shot.

I think he needs a nice Polish chicken friend (or two) - another of my favorite type of chickens.

I'll have to look into that! I also have 3 Cochin bantams, 2 old English game bantams, a very old barred rock, and a few mutt chickens. 11 in total!
