So, I need some ideas. The people we got Abby from weren't exactly the brightest and bred two merles together (one parent is a blue merle aussie and the other is a gray/blue merle and white border collie/aussie mix). Most of the puppies were ok, but one of the little girls is a lethal white. We were actually going to take her instead of Abby until we realized she was deaf (the owners didn't know she was). Since I want to do agility, we didn't think she'd be a good fit. Anyway, before we left with Abby, we told the owners that if they couldn't find her an appropriate home, to call us and we'd try to help out. Well, guess who got a call from the people yesterday?
Enter my dilemma. My friend that had wanted to take her can't now. I'm going to post on Facebook and see if any of my friends could handle her. My best friend (who originally wanted her) is going to check with her trail riding group. However, I have a feeling that the owners want me to take her and then find her a home. I don't think my (amazing) boyfriend will go along with that plan and I don't know how my big dog, Cash, would handle another puppy (he's just getting to where he's okay with Abby...not that he'd hurt her, he just gets annoyed). The only other option I can see is a lethal white aussie rescue here in Arizona. The only issue there is that they're 3 hours away and I don't have the time to go down there any time soon.
So, if you were in my shoes, what would you do?
