    New puppy! And name help?

Eeek! I am so excited. My new pup will arrive end of this month. He is a little tri coloured chocolate merle Koolie. I can't wait for him to get here, I have been shopping for all his new stuff, waiting for a BIG package in mail full of toys and such! Have his pen all set up ready for him. Here he is, just the cutest thing!

Would love any help thinking of names. His registered name is ***** Yamba, but it's not my favourite! I would like something short, manly, but still cute

I really liked Loki and Dash, but we have dogs back home called Oakie and Flash, Lol, too similar!

    So it can't sound like:

    Rambo
    Skip
    Oakie
    Flash
    Col

As they are our current dogs.

I kind of like Rev, but i'm not sold on it!

So jealous of his colour, we have a part koolie. They are beautiful dogs and I bet you are going to have a lot of fun with him.

I'm not good with names and the only ones that come to mind are:
    Jet
    Diesel

I don't know if they would suit him though, I hope other people can be more helpful.

Thank you! I am really looking forward to having him here, I have a lot of time to spend with him, i'm sure he is going to turn out to be a great mate.

I do like Jet, that's going on the list! I might pick a few I really like then see what he is like when he gets here :)

Also, would love some opinions. Would taking him away on a trip a week after he gets here be too much for him? It's the easter long weekend and I would really like to take the chance to go for a drive to a really nice beach, but it is about 5 hours away. I won't go if it will be too much for him, but I would camp where dogs are allowed so he would be with me 24/7. I haven't had a pup this little in a long time!

Assuming you would obviously be responsible with the fact that he is a young puppy and not a well trained dog being off somewhere new with you. I don't see why you couldn't take him.

The travelling shouldn't be a problem so long as their are regular potty breaks for a long drive. It all depends on the dog though, our german shepherd was horrible in the car when we bought him home a few months back and still isn't the best traveller. However we have had other dogs since puppies that love car rides. Only thing I can say is don't feed them right before you go lol.

Yes he would be on a long lead all the time and sleep in the tent with me on his bed. I am mostly worried it would be too stressful for him after only being home for a week. I am asking around to see if there are any dog friendly places to stay closer, but no luck so far!

He is too cute! I love his color & pattern. They figure out how to get that on a horse I might turn into one of those people who buy just for color lol!

    Short, manly names..hmm...
    -Tank
    -Dozer
    - Sarge
    - Bandit

How freakin cute is he????? I think he wants to come live with me! Lol

I've no names to add - I'm that bad at naming I let my daughter name my son lol - and that could have gone VERY wrong because she was only 4 1/2

He reminds me of that chocolate/powdered sugar chex mix called "Muddy Buddies" because his feet look muddy : ) But I guess Buddy would be to common.

How about Clay? Like Clay dirt for the coloring of his legs and face?

    He's adorable : )
