CUTE! I grew up with Hamsters and then didn't have one for years. Then a while back I wanted a Guinea Pig, but Hubby said no - so I said how about a Hamster and he said alright. So we went to the pet store to get one, and they were mean sons of whooies..........so I got rats instead....and then a guinea pig. LOL.
That was my thought about hamsters. They all pretty much bit you as soon as you went near. But Penny climbs all over you. The people at the shop are pretty decent at handling them. Its not very busy, I suppose that's why.
Awww... she's really cute. I've also got 2 hamsters - one dshungarian and one teddy hamster. The dshungarina is already about 3 years old and the teddy is about 8 months.
She's in this cage until she gets used to us. I don't need to be spending hours trying to catch her in a huge cage right now. Impossible with two kids, she'd never come out then.
She gets out as much as possible to make up for the lack of space. No worries. I plan on a bigger cage. My boyfriend wants to do the whole connect-a-cage all over the house thing. Haha. I think it'd be cool, but those tubes are costly!
A few pictures of her crawling all over the kids toys a few nights ago.
She gets out tons, in a ball to just run and time exploring too. So no worries, she will have her big cage soon enough. ;)
Aww, what a darling! I forgot how much I love hamsters.
As long as she gets exercise, that's all that's important :)
Now, if she were in that cage 24/7 like some poor hamsters, that would be a different story..
