Omg omg omg!!!!!!!!!! Good news at bacon lake farm!!!!!!!!!

I have had a Mama hen sitting on eggs for the past 25 days, her chicks came later than they were supposed to.

Today I woke up, went out to check, and found a tiny little baby chick, peeping like crazy. HE'S SOOOOO CUTE! He's like, different shades of brown all blended together. I'll try to get pictures today. I haven't gotten a chance yet. I'll tell you as we get more. I'm really super anxious.

Well, just went back out, we have a dry one, and one or two more, I'm not sure. But we have a maximum of three. She comes off for a little while every day so I'll keep an eye on her and see how many.

Haha, well, I saw one starting to hatch now, I'm praying none are turkens so we don't kill any!!!!!!

Whats a turken?

A turken is a naked necked chicken.
2 chicks have survived and are live and well. They are in the big cage now so we'll see how they do!
