Pics of our other pets

Sonny. My long time buddy. he's about 14 now and I had both his parents since they were pups.

Little Bear. We think he's Rottweiler crossed with lab. Acts more like a Rottweiler at times but loves to fetch anything. He has a goofy personality and is protective of me. He'll be 2 in October :)

SweetPea our Great Dane. She sits like that on everything. Recently had a litter of 7 pups

Faith, Boston terrier/rat terrier X Rat Terrier.

Gabriel "Gabby" my baby. Hubby found her for me. he was driving to town and saw a plastic bag moving in the road and he stopped and somebody had tied her inside the bag and just tossed her. She was barely weaned age. I've never seen a sweeter cat.

2 of Faith's puppies. My mom is keeping Scrappy, the little one and we are keeping Bruiser, maybe. They are a duo of troublemakers ;)

Hubby's corn snake. She's grown atleast 4 inches since he got her in January. I don't like that snake but I'm not a snake fan.lol he loves em.

The cool snake! Ball Python we recently got named Agamemnon. he's not that old and very mellow. I like him enough to hold him and handle him and he just chills on my lap or wherever we put him.

aww, i love your pets, especially Little Bear. He looks like such a goofball =) I also like the snakes =)

I don't have pics, but i've got a zoo myself! Other than the 2 horses my family keeps a dog, about 30 birds and an assortment of fish and snails. I would love a reptile, but i live in Canada, and it's so darn cold the poor thing would die if the heater malfunctioned, lol. Plus my dog would eat it... my dog is not a fan of any living organism other than my family.

Enjoy your cute pets =)

aww I love birds too! I've always wanted a Cockatoo. I think they are so neat, or a talking parrot but it'd probably pick up some bad language from hubby LOL

i have small birds, about 29 finches and a crazy parakeet... he's glaring at me right now, lol. Sadly he's taken to screaming whenever the sun hits his cage. I can only imagine the amount of noise a large bird would make, i think my neighbors would kill me! That's what i love about my horse: not so much noise! However, big birds have SO much personality, my favorite is the conure, but they tend to bit or nibble (at least the ones i know) lol

This is Sonya, our "Mexican Special". She arrived in Canada from Cancun in February and has been a well-loved member of our family since. She is a mix of a bunch of breeds - Whippet, Pit Bull, Lab, possibly some Chihuahua - and she's a wonderful animal. I think she's a saint, just because she puts up with...

Guinness, our Miniature Pinscher. He harasses the you-know-what out of poor Sonya by chasing her, chewing on her legs, grooming her, jumping on her head... and she doesn't even eat him. I don't think I've ever heard her growl at him. Within a day of bringing Sonya home, timid little Guinness was moving his toys into her kennel and bringing her HIS treats to share. They've been inseparable since.

And then I have three hedgehogs:

Nova

Shadow

I'm gonna post pictures of my zoo when I can get some good pics.

Courtney, I must comment, I've never seen an albino hedgehog, and that dog Sonya sure reminds me of a rhodesian ridgeback.

Horsecrazy84, your animals are all adorable, but I must say I love your great dane. I've always wanted one but I fear their health issues... Beautiful animals though.

The albino hedgehogs has definitely, in my experience, proven to be friendlier and more personable than their standard counterparts. I have no clue why.

Rhodesian Ridgeback? Interesting. I'm going to have to do some research. She doesn't have that distinctive 'ridge' down her back though.

I took a look at some dogs (searched Rhodesian Ridgeback X Pitbull) and 95% of the photos posted online look almost exactly like Sonya. Interesting... maybe that's what she is. Thanks for the suggestion!
