No the AC didn't tell us, she had told a person that happens to be a friend of ours she was going to call, that's how we know that.

Okay.. To clear somethings up. Ivy has already been to the vet (they took her right after the AC left) and the limp is just from the impact and her still being sore nothing more (just like we thought) She is a Border Collie and NEVER slows down. So the vet said it was probally because of that. She was kicked a week ago (I knew it was something like that).

And her breed is not an excuse but have any of yall ever tried to keep one of them still? LOL It's next to impossiable.

Where there is a will there is a way!

Keeping an injured pet quiet is a lot of work. But always doable if the desire is there.

If the injury was only a week ago it is hard to believe the wound is all healed up by now. Wow, a quick healer.

Then AC is completely in the clear, and I agree with everything they did.

I'm interested in what part of VA you live, because I'm in a heavily rural area and we have one AC officer for our whole county. He also only works Monday through Friday.

On evenings or weekends, the only law enforcement available for animal control is the Game Warden, and he's more interested in illegal poaching than the safety of domestic animals.

You asked for opinions and you got them....they just weren't what you wanted to hear. When one is in the wrong, that is usually the case.

I don't see where I am in the wrong. And I appreciate everyone's opinion on the matter. That is in fact what I asked for and that's what yall gave me. I never said that I didn't appreciate it. Everyone is getting a little touchy and I don't know why I was only trying to add all the information so yall could give me accurate opinions on it. Yes it was a week ago and yes it is healed as in it isn't an open cut anymore. It wasn't that big of one to begin with and it was treated by washing and putting triple antiboitect (sorry about spelling) on several times a day. Ivy stays in the house when they are not home and at night so they had her resting at those times but as soon as she would hit the porch she was gone to streatch her legs.

He told us he was contacted this morning and he came right after he got the call. That's all he told us on that matter.

I am in Covington. We have two AC officers for the county and one for the city.

And I wasn't trying to hear just my point I wanted all opinions. So nice of you for assuming I am a narrow minded person and think everyone should agree with me. If I wanted everyone to agree with me I sure wouldn't have posted it on a public forum where I know no one ever has the exact same opinion.

Well, as long as she's been seen and cleared by a vet, that's all the AC officer requires.

Really, AC aren't the bad guys. They do a lot of good, and I'm just glad they actually responded. In some places it's hard to get them to come out unless the animal is down and dying, and even then, you just don't know if they'll show up.

That is why leashes, pens, cages, etc were invented.

Yes, the dog will be miserable.
Yes, a miserable dog means annoyed humans.

But sometimes being a pet owner means we do what is best for them even if it is more work for us.

Kind of like stall rest for our horse.
