Oh man, they picked out their feathers? That's sooooo sad :(

Are they somewhat young?

That's so great you rescued them :)

I have dial-up and am picture-challenged, BUT....I do have birds! I have two cockatiels - males - Angel and Patches - and I also have a sun conure - Sunny! Patches and Sunny were brought to a pet store to be re-homed. Sunny can be a bit loud, but he and I hit it off the moment we met. Patches also stole my heart. I got Angel because a dog had gotten hold of him - luckily, there was only a minor injury and the Vet was able to patch him up. The lady did not want to keep him because of her dog. We are sort of a mix & match family, but it works nicely for all of us! I got the birds in 1998. Couldn't part with them.

Yeah, it is really sad to see a bird like that. When I got her the breeder told me that she started when her mate died. When I asked "when did her mate die" she told me it was around a year ago, and I just laughed because this is years of feather picking. It takes alot to get this bad. She's 20+

^ I wouldnt say, it takes that much for a parrot to get into plucking really, no matter what age.
Motivation is all they really need..Sad really :(
Did she have any medical conditions that could have maybe encouraged the plucking ?

Oh no, I talked to Barb, the owner of SCBR. She told me that BR died from liver cancer. :(

Yeah we got my chicken as a baby in the winter and she grew up in the house. Lol so when we finally moved her outside she would come in. And she still tries to dart in the house when you open the door lol she's worse than the cats who sometimes try to run outside as soon as the door opens.
