Some Dobermans get there ears cropped (medical procedure done by a vet) and then to train the muscles to hold the ears up and before the cartiladge in the ears hardens (12 months) you put foam in the ear to help them stand... He came with them like that but there down now LONG story (breeder I bought from didn't do his ears and lied)... heres a picture of him now I like his ears down better lol (I like the grin on his face)

I presonally prefer the cropped ears I think they look more alert. Either way he's very cute, congrats on the new puppy!
