Wink What pets have you hidden from your parents?

I have been wanting another rabbit, my last one I had to put down a couple years back his name was Laddy and the best rabbit ever! But then ive been wanting an african grey, ive always wanted one. BUT I cant get another pet until all my guinea pigs pass away (ive got 3). My mom wont let me have any more pets :(

I was thinking how easy it would be to hide a rabbit in my room, my mom is never up stairs. So I would work. Then it got me thinking how many of you have sneaked a new pet in the house and how did it work out? Did your parents find it, what happened when they did? Post pics of the secret pet if you can...

Lets see, we had rabbits, but they were outside rabbits...There was a older gentleman that lived down the street from us and my sister and I bought 2 rabbits from him and a cage for $5 We carried the cage and rabbits home and placed them outside with other rabbits we had. That was a surprise to mom and dad... then while my sister and I were in high school we had the upstairs of the house basically to ourselves, we brought home a cat. Her name was booger as she had a dark speck on her nose. We kept her up there for about a month before she came downstairs one evening while my sister and I were at a basketball game. Mom went upstairs to find food, water and a litter pan!!! We got to keep the cat but got grounded for the same amount of time that we were hiding the cat... 1 month!

Sorry no picture..this was in the dinosaur era / pre digital!!!

I hid animals in my dorm room in college, haha. I had 3 rabbits and 2 hamsters.(On top of the legal 29 gallon fish tank, 10 gallon aquatic frog tank, and hermit crab tank). Thank goodness I kicked my roommate out at the very beginning of the sememster, lol! Had them for the whole second semester(January-May). I hid 2 rabbits from my parents in high school by keeping them in a nice cage in my neighbor's garage. Sadly, my neighbor had her lawn chemically treated and then let the bunnies out to graze. They passed away that night.

I've never done anything like that, but my mom (when she was about 19) tried to hide a puppy from her parents. It only lasted a day. Her mom heard it crying in her room, but she didn't get grounded because her mom fell in love with the puppy.

Had I been out with the town bad boy I would have been skinned and quarted by my dad...He didn't take to kindly to my sister and I hanging with people we shouldn't have. I think my mom liked the cat too!!!

Equinelover- How did your sister think of hidding a puppy? That would be a hard task to pull.

I'm in the process of convincing my parents to let me have a hedgehog. If the asking doesn't work, I may just get it anyway. Unfortunately, my mother is in my room fairly often, and it would be hard to hide that big of a cage.

I snuck 2 guinie pigs home one day while my parents werent home. I also brought a kitten home. My mom flipped when she found the guinie pigs because she hates the smell. I also brought home turkey eggs and hatched them.
