White blood cells in puppies urine

So to make a long story short we have been dealing with what we thought was a minor bladder infection in my (now) 4 month old akita/husky pup. This started last month, when he was 3 months old. He had the typical signs for a bladder infection so we took him to the vet for a urinalysis and it came up he has white blood cells in his urine. Ok put him on meds for 2 weeks. Still happening. Pull another urinalysis and still has white blood cells in his pee so put him on stronger meds for 2 weeks. Still happening.

Now, he will hold it all day. Never has accidents in his cage and he's in a cage sometimes up to 8+ hours a day. He will also hold it in the house unless he HAS To go bad. But, if outside for 15 minutes he will have squatted 5x to pee but will dribble or not be able to go anymore. Doesn't seem painful. Not saying its not, though.

So tomorrow he's going back to the vet so they can draw blood, possible X-rays and they want to sick a needle into his side to his bladder to pull urine for another test. The vet said it could just be an infection that is harder to treat or stones.

They said it doesn't seem very life treatening at this point. He's still playing, eating, growing like normal. Just pees alot! Lol. Although, we are quite worried as we lost out belove 2 year old Akita/pit to lymphoma cancer this time last year.

Anybody have insight or knowledge on this topic at all? He has an appointment early so hopefully we will find out first thing but just wanted to hear opinions.
Thx

He may have urinary regurgitation. That would be where he doesn't completely empty his urethera and the contaminated remnants go back into his bladder.
