Why does this keep happening

I keep finding abandoned baby animals :(
Last week it was a puppy, sweetest thing. Just managed to find a home for her, and now theres the skinniest, sorriest looking kitten I have ever seen on my doorstep. I can't take her in- I already have 3 rescue dogs and 2 horses.
Seriously, why do people treat animals like crap! It makes me absolutely sick to my stomach.
Rant over- at least the kitten got a meal for the day :(

People see farms as place to leave animal and think you could take them in. This happens to my friend down the road twice a year with cats

Yep! We re-home several animals a year due to dumping (and end up keeping a few too, lol). You can take her in (isolate her, there is always health concern when you have existing population in your home) and contact AC to have her picked up to be taken to the shelter.

ETA - even if the animal ends up being euthed at the shelter (though this is more likely with adult animals - everyone wants the cute baby dogs/cats) it is better than the death they will have from starvation, hit by car, eaten by another animal, etc.

I feel your pain... We had 14 cats we were feeding at one point in time because everybody thinks its a great idea to dump the animals out here.
Now we have 4 the others either got PTS by dad due to health reasons, or passed from age.

One of the strays gave birth to a single kitten a few years ago.... In mums closet that cat is now named Benji, and is my great big Ginga ninja of a cat :)

I detest the people that dump animals-all the animals I hae now except 1 ( & she was adopted from the shelter) were found on the roadside. They are wonderful animals & add so much to our life. L Pray that the economy improves so more animals can have a secure home.

We found 42 at one time! It was horrible! Well, honestly I was like 5yrs old and I absolutely loved it! But people would drop off pregnant ones... It was hard to keep up with neutering! They all lived and died at the farm tho... But read my signature... you are an angel my dear! :)
