Uuhm ok, I edited that because I did research on the OP's pill. And my birth control company and doctor have clearly told me that mine is ok to take while pregnant. My doctor said I could go a whole pregnancy on it with no harm done because all it does is add hormones (that you would have anyway if you're pregnant). I don't know what type of birth control your cousin's girlfriend was on, but I'm definitely not on that. Though I fail to see why you commented on this thread just to say that. Sorry to hear about your cousin's girlfriend's baby.
It's rather obvious why I commented... I commented because BC can be highly dangerous to an unborn child and no one should have to go through their child being born stillborn due to comething they could easily prevent. No parent... mother... should have to live the rest of their life knowing that if they had only taken the safer route and gone off BC during a pregnancy, then their child would have lived.

There is no evidence of BC causing birth defects, so I highly doubt that is what happened. Either way it is a sad thing to happen.

OP-"pulling out" does absolutely nothing but torture your SO. Shoot, 30 some years ago a friend of mine (not close, obviously) came up pregnant when it was not planned. I asked her what happened and her reply-"I don't know! Joe pulls out every time!" As a nurse I wanted to beat my head against a wall. Take your pills, and take your chances. They are low if you take them consistently, but I have a grandson who is the result of ONE missed pill.

Oh believe me, I know this. I have told him time and time again that that is the whole point of BC, so he doesn't need to pull out. He feels it's less of a risk, lol.
