    Missed my period?

Okay so I have been in bed for a week because of a broken ankle, iv always had problems with my feet because of jumping off horses in cowgirl boots since I was little, so my other foot swelled up like a balloon with me hobbling around on it so I just stayed in bed reading Patricia briggs for a week.

Anyway realized I hadn't gotten my period yesterday when I felt nauseous after going outside, and wondered if its the heat or what. I spent the night with a guy a few weeks ago. Anyway I wasn't to worried because I sometimes miss my period on my birth control. I didn't take it for 2 weeks 2 months ago because I was leaving for a road trip and they refused to refill my prescription because of some insurance thing that I couldn't immediately deal with. Anyway it was about 2 weeks or so ago would I be feeling sick or anything? I can't get to town to get a test because I don't have a ride. Not immediately worried though Im probably being paranoid.

Well... Could be that, could be stress too since you are out of commission w/ a broken ankle... could be just late...

Ya the more I read the more im like I think im over reacting. Im always careful, I was smart enough I didn't start having sex before I was 18, and Im usually on top of my birth control. Its enough to scare me away from men at least for a while if I don't come out of this with a baby. At least the daddy would be a lawyer.... the only bright side I see to this... situation :/ ill admit im not mature enough for a baby. Then again 8 of my friends had babies before they were out of high school ad im more mature then them. No more men for me lol.

2 weeks with missing your pills and a fling. I know what I would bet my money on.

Did you take your pills consistently for the last month? If so, you should be fine. If not, I would go pick up a test, or have a friend pick one up and bring it to you.

If you are pregnant, you need to know NOW and start making some hard decisions.

Is this normal for your routine?

I normally start my period two and a half- three days after my last pill, not straight away.

Are you on strong medication for your ankle?

Are you particularly stressed about being stuck in?

You'd be amazed how stress can effect the body. I went three months without a period, and I was peeing on sticks left right and centre. Turned out my body just wasn't handling stress.

HOWEVER, if you had unprotected sex, and a fling, pregnancy shouldn't be the only thing you worry about. Go and get yourself checked at a sexual health clinic.
I'm not sure for you, but here you have bloods taken and do two swabs yourself at a drop in clinic. They're very helpful, and it's very easy. I made the mistake myself, then freaked and went. When I found out that my boyfriend had NEVER been tested I frog marched him there and we both were tested.

Just wait and see over the next couple of days, or pee on a stick if you miss it completely.

Because you missed for two weeks, let's assume that when you started taking taking them again, it was like starting from fresh. A lot of pills suggest waiting for 1 month before having sex without any backup. However, I have a friend who uses planned parenthood and they told her two weeks was sufficient. She went with two weeks and was fine :)

So, were you on them for at least two weeks? If so, you probably have nothing to worry about. Your cycle is probably all screwed up from missing for so long then starting again.

The only way to know is to take a test. (:
