"E shot up almost TWO INCHES this fall and I had to pass on never worn brand spankin new school clothes..."
Don't you just Hate that?!
The good news for me is that munchkin is less than one foot from over taking me in height and I can already start wearing his cast off shoes. In just a short while I'll be wearing HIS hand me downs!!
(Maybe I will actually be in style for a change!!
Sewing... oh you guys! I wish I could sew those beautiful scenery quilts or just about anything else pretty.
I took home ec. about *cough* many years ago in school and actually did learn to sew a pillow or something....
Bought a machine several years back on a super clearance sale...
Darn thing only works in reverse! LOL... just my luck...
So I had to learn to knit and crochet instead. I'm working on a galaxy afghan munchkin asked for, and I love to crochet, but oh.... to be able to sew up a memory quilt from all the saved baby clothes I set aside just for that reason. <sigh>
Just one more thing I am envious about you guys.
As for Furby or whatever that evil little thing is....
My son made the mistake of asking for one several weeks ago. He got "the look" and hasn't brought it up since.
I've recently learned not to say "We'll see" for the things that when I see them I think to myself: "It will be a cold day in he!! before I ever buy that
"We'll see" is just like saying "Ask me again, but later" and he figured that one out pretty quick.
Forgot to add... that's cool Fly about getting the nook from family! I tried to make the "When you are tired of it, just send it my way" hint all over my face to my good friend who has three Kindles... didn't work. *snaps finger*
