Ok.. Just got home from my appointment..

Despite horse chores, walking, eh hem- quality husband time, and being stretched (ow).. I have not dialated at all since Tuesday.. Doc said she was hoping baby would be lower but true to himself, he is stubborn so yeah he is still kinda high. grumble.

We have decided that Monday is his day to be evicted...I feel a little bit like a sell out (and nurses telling me today that its great I am one of the few who is deciding to wait didn't help that much LOL- evidently its a rare occurrance there), but I will get over it...Just glad there is a light at the end of the tunnel that is not too far ahead.. plus I can get my ducks in a row (stupid dogs and horses- thinking they all need to be situated) and get people on alert..

She stretched my cervix again today (holy alot it felt like), so coupled with that and the fact that he is now on a limited time span- maybe he will cooperate and come before monday:) we shall see..

I am thinking the baby made an exit before the eviction happened.

Jack Thomas Nelson was born sunday feb. 10 at 6:04 am weighing in at 8lbs 5.25 oz and 20 inches long. He has a full head of hair and is just the cutest thing EVER (ok sooo I'm biased).

As stubborn a baby as he was, I am convinced It was the labor cake over the eviction notice that cause him to come!

All through out my pregnancy I had been seeing references to labor cakes and finally saturday morning my curiosity took over and I google labor cakes...Holy chit, the first and only link I click on and here sits a recipe for a death by chocolate cake my mom used to make, that I not two days earlier, was very fondly remembering (could not remember the whole recipe though- only ever saw her actually make it once)...

I took this as a sign beyond the grave (mom died in '03) and figured I would be dumb not to make this cake! (I have a fb status about it even!).

Literally Not 20 minutes after eating a slice, my water broke!!

for those interested: death by chocolate cake

1 box devils food cake mix (follow recipe)
1 cup sour cream
1 pkg chocolate pudding
12oz chocolate chips
the batter comes out stupidly thick, but it turns into a very moist rich cake!
