Just a thought...

I suffered from knee pain for years, and for the longest time was told it was growing pains, and if I continued to complain I get the eye roll as if "shes making it up". It was only because I kept at them and went back time and time again that they finally diagnosed it as patellofemoral syndrome. The pain wasn't constant, but would flare up with a vengence after hard physical activity.

Stop for a minute, open your mind, learn. You may not agree with what I say, I may not agree with what you say but we will both learn something new.

I had bad growing pains in my right ankle - went on for years and only when I stayed with my uncle when visiting a zoo, when he could walk no further due to a war injury, did my mother think that maybe I wasn't kidding!
`didn't help much as they could find nothing wrong.
Several years later I had a sore on the side of my foot, thought it was a thorn but after digging around, a chip of bone came out! It was from my ankle.

The other thing I would say is to take him to a Chiropractor, preferably one that uses Applied Kinesiology, often pain in the lower extremities comes from misalignment higher up the spine.
