Kitty looks as thrilled as our barn cat!

I never thought of cats as "child-friendly" but this doofus lets my kids use, abuse and love him to pieces. He is terrified of dogs so he adopted our barn because we don't usually bring the dogs out there, I figured after enough child abuse he'd head for the hills but last night I found my BO caved (she was encouraging to go back next door as he beats up her cats) and he was snuggled into a heated bed with a heated water bowl and a gravity-fed cat food feeder. I don't think he is EVER going to leave!!!

Lol Kitty is seriously dumber than a box of rocks. He routinely runs head first into our floor length windows. But for all of that he puts up with the kids dragging him around and harassing him.

Haha, that's amazing! We have our fair share of crazy names around here.. Some of our horses names are Taco, Chicken, Goose, Newter (pronounced Neuter, lol).. We have two cats named Mouse and Rat, another MALE cat named Princess Penelope.. A dog named Rere (ree-ree).. Just when you think it can only get better, it only gets worse, lol. *headdesk*

Funny thread! We've had some interesting ones over the years too. We currently have fish named Goldie, Speck, Redhead, Sparkle (all pretty accurate) and then there is Winn and Dixie, they got named after watching Because of Winn Dixie (awesome movie if you or your kids haven't seen it btw).

Then the cats are Oreo, Milo - who looks nothing like the movie cat and Rascal. Rascal was funny how it came about. He was really little and dumped at my parents place, they live on a busy road so he came here. We let her bring him in the house for awhile because he was so little and still on soft food. The first day we had him in I was at the stove cooking and he climbed my pants leg and I couldn't stop myself and said/yelled "You little *not nice male b word*" and Morgan says "Mom, what did you say?!" my response was "I said 'You little rascal!" so from then on he was Rascal and has lived up to his name, clean and edited versions both

I've had a cat named Mouse also. Names can really get interesting, especially when kids get into picking the names.

So far the barn cats have normal names, Pumkin, Spice, and Lily (RIP). Unfortunatly Lily was hit by a car Sunday

I've had a kitten named Kit. Must have tried two dozen names on her and the only one she answered to was Kit.

My son named his blue betta Bluey.

We got an orange and white kitten when I was in middle school that we thought was a girl, so we named it Peaches and Cream. Imagine our surprise when we found our supposed female spraying the sleeping bag my mom had out on the line to dry. He became PC after that and if anyone asked what it meant, we said Pretty Cat (he was solid bright orange, not tabby, and white).

Ha ha!! Funny stuff!

DD watched little bear for years so everything was named "little" fish, kitty, goat, deer whatever. She had a beta named "like a fish" when she was two. Several other fish that she named speedy, sucker, shelly, goldie, bigun. Then there was banjo, little lamb, fru fru, hey jude, big goat, spic, span, bandero, bandita, and some other weird names for the goats. Some of our horses names? Captain Mcillory, Rooster, hey Siena, DB for you know what (Donald, sorry but your name makes me giggle!)
We had a cat named spam, and fuzz butt. the rooster is satan, and I named one of our dogs Raymo (I name all our big dogs that, there is a big barn on the way to town with that painted in huge white letters, for some reason it makes me laugh! IDK why?).
