2 years ago I went through a horrible YEAR LONG breakup with my ex-boyfriend. I got down to just over 100 pounds because I couldn't eat. When I started to eat again months later, I started to pack on the pounds. I'm only 5'2", If I was of average height, I wouldn't even be posting this, but since I'm so short...Well, you get my drift.
I want to work out and be healthier. In Human Physiology, we checked out resting heart-rate. Mine used to be 60 beats per minute. S.L.O.W. And E.V.E.N. Now, it's ranging between 68 and 84 over a 10 minute period. Yikes!
It's not like I eat a whole bunch. I don't snack. Example, today for breakfast I had a cinnamon roll. A small one. For lunch I had chicken and rice soup with some saltine crackers. That's all I've ate today and it's after 4pm here. I don't eat chips or really anything that's horribly bad for you. I really like protein and fruit. Yum! I could eat fruit all day.
My downfall is pop. Specifically Mountain Dew which is unnecessary calories and high in carbohydrates. I've taken Nutrition courses in college, I know what's good and what's bad and how to portion control. It's my pop intake that is off the charts. I can suck down 4 - 6 cans of pop a day. Yes, a day! Yikes!
And of course, I don't work out. I feel so lethargic and heavy when I run on the treadmill and of course it's soooo boring. It's too cold outside to go out for a run with my dog. Workout videos, I've never tried them but my mom looks so corny doing them. LoL.
My mom suggested to get my thyroid checked.
Does anyone have any tips/hint/motivation tactics to get my chubby butt up? *sigh*
