Graying out
Is it possible to tell the age of a horse by how much they are graying out? My gelding is a fleabitten gray that is said to be 8-10. I'll post pictures when I'm not on my phone.

No there is no way to tell the age of a horse by the greying process.

No, simply because all horses grey out at different rates

You can get a more accurate guess from aging him by his teeth :) Next time your vet is out, have them take a look and give you a guess.
Grey is such fun...I've known a 2 year old that was almost totally white in his greying stage, and a 16 year old that was still very much dappled and gorgeous.
