They spend 30 days getting the horse used to the same 'spooky' things every day, and then put them on the internet to sell as 'bomb proof'. Sorry to be negative, but I don't find it all that hard to get a horse to get used to the same odd-number of objects if that's all he sees every day.
That's fair enough. I was wondering about the "normal" training things actually - they didn't show any trotting or cantering. I understand that they are exposed to the same thing over and over, but it's stuff that's not usually asked of a horse, and I find that impressive. I bet that their horses would be less spooky than my horse when exposed to a new thing.
HOWEVER - I would love to do this with Maia, on top of the training she's already getting. I think that's what M2G meant as well... having a horse that's done all this spooky stuff, and has good training in the saddle as well.
I mean, really, how many of our horses walk under a tarp, walk along a rail, or push a big "scary" blue monster willingly? I'm guessing very few. And that's the point of this video - yes, these horses are exposed to this stuff every day, but how else do you go about "bomb-proofing" a horse?
