Wow, how unique. Your description sounds about right and judging by her knees and the shade of her spots, I would guesstimate she is probably a sorrel/chestnut base. She's a pretty girl.

I also think you may be correct in coloring. Really pretty girl

The pattern you have seems right, but I don't think she is chestnut based. Looks to me like a palomino. Also, I remember that horse from Congress :) What a looker.

Wow, I have no idea, but she's SO PRETTY.

How old is the mare?
Definitely a chestnut base. Also definitely varnish, and a nice big blanket.
Lp often does funny things to colour. Just having a stab in the dark, if the mare isn't too old, I would think she is greying as well as having Lp. However, I am not much of an Lp expert, hopefully ND or Face will stick their head in here :-)

Chiilla - They said she is 10. But new owner is having vet check that when he comes to her QT location in NC to give her any shots she needs and a good looking at.
randomrider92 - lol....I was gonna say, whats a horse that went to congress doing at a Camelot auction ;)

I am wondering about palomino too, as light as she is, I'm thinking maybe palomino. She sure is pretty!

It would be a cool if she had a palomino base! She has 30 days in QT up in NC and then I go pick her up. So once we actually see her in person I am sure her color will be more clean ;) And a bath would help her to!
