Ariat Monaco Field Boots
I have grown out of my show jumping tall boots so I need to buy new ones before the show season i in full swing.
I've heard both good and bad things about the Ariat Monaco Field Boots. They are english jumping boots, and are very expensive. Three people I know said the zippers broke the first time they used them, and others refuse to ride in any other boot. Have any of you guys used this brand before and did you like it? Or would you recommend a different brand of show jumping tall boot?
Here's A Picture For Reference: (I don't know if it will work or not :P)
All my Ariats have been paddock boots, and right now I have three pairs: a pair of Heritages which is still going strong; pair of younger Heritages whose stitches broke on the top of the boot and the spur rest fell off; a Cobalt whose finish could not withstand normal barn chores and stained and scratched despite routine cleaning and the insert basically dissolved after 6 months of continuous use.
Bear in mind that none of these boots have been used excessively for more than a year or so, and have been routinely cleaned and conditioned. I hear Ariat used to make better quality, and my older Heritages seem more durable than the other Ariats I have. Also, Ariat laces are pathetic.
Here is a discussion on another forum about Ariat boots:
I'm done with ariat!!
