i was wondering if you like Circle Y western saddles. Any preferences on them ??
my BO has a fancy $3000 Circle Y show saddle...black leather...all tooled, silver....*drools* hehe
It's really comfortable and I love riding in it...sadly it doesn't fit Sonny :( well at least I don't think it does
From what I know of them they are great quality western saddles. The BOs saddle was defiantely something that I'd be able to ride in all day. But it also depends on the style
Anyone will tell you that riding in a dale chavez or a billy cook is better and they wouldn't ride in anything else, blah blah blah. But people don't always have the money for that. Circle Y is a good saddle for trail riding and training... not my preference for serious showing, though.
If you're just looking for trail riding and training, I would look at the Royal Kings. I train in one, it was pretty cheap--500--and I love it to death.
I'd rather have a billy cook...but I'd not turn my nose up at a circle Y thats for sure!
Hmm I've seen them before, but haven't ridden in any back when I rode Western!
really great saddles that will last you a really long time.... i love the one i use that is over 25 years old
They are nice saddles, especially the older ones, but there are much better saddles for the money then what Circle Y sells for.
If you want to know what people would buy, then a better poll might be to ask if you would buy a new Circle Y. I answered "yes" to your poll but would have answered "no" about buying one.
I think the overall quality of Circle Y saddles has gone down in recent years to the point where I do not like them anymore. I LOVE their older models but most of their new stuff is not paying for top quality products anymore, its paying for their name stamped on the leather.
I'd say "somewhat like". But since it would be my choice AFTER Alamo, Bill Cook, and TexTan, I put "No". :)
