Getting a thick, long, mane and tail
Any one have any sugestions? My mare has a decent length tail, but it gets super thin towards the bottom. And her mane is the same way, plus she has a patch missing from rubbing >.< anyway, suggestions to make it thicker? Any human products that will make it softer also? I have heard of MTG, how often would I need to use it? How much is it per bottle?

Thank you so much in advance!

good question!! As sad as it sounds and its going to be you need to pull the mane to the length of the thickest part, and keep pulling as it grows to keep it thick and healthy. the hair is splitting and breaking at various points on the shafts making it appear thin at the ends. One of my horses actually had a mane EATEN by another horse and so i put hot chilli oil on his mane, stopped the little blighter that was eating it from doing that again! give him a good trim up and about a year and you'll have a lovely thick mane and tail. And dont over brush it!

I give my boy hot oil treatments about twice a month because he has such a long tail it sometimes drags the ground. It seems to make it grow faster because it's not "breaking" and it definately keeps his tail soft. I do it on his mane once in a while but his man already stays pretty soft. I reccommend VO5 hot oil treatments. Depending on the length and thickness you may need more than one tube(it normally comes with 2-3 tubes anyway for about $4) I use 2 tubes on my boys tail.
