Hi there everyone. Just wondering if you all could kindly give your time to look at pics of my boy and give him a critique. He is a 5yr old tennessee walker quarter horse cross. These were the best pics I could get and all critiques are apprechiated!
Please keep in mind I did get him because of how he was built :) thanks!
And ps the 3rd pic he is on a hill
Nice looking horse. What i see is that he is slightly sicklehocked in the back, though not terribly and his neck is a bit long and needs some muscle. Other than that, he looks like a solidly built horse! Love the butt!
Thank you so much! Ya I love looking at his butt. The bf gets jelous haha
I am working on getting his neck toned up (he just started under saddle about a month ago) I am pretty new to the confo part of things so I needed some insight from a fresh pair of eyes.
Thanks so much for your time!
I see a nicely built horse. I dont' think he is sickle hocked. Well, maybe a tad. It seems so many modern qh's are this way. his neck will be lovely once muscled. I can see why you chose him.
Aww thank you! I will try and get a more squared standing pic to figure out for sure if he is or not. I will have to start a thread on how I should go about getting his neck more toned up... but I can't wait. I want to get him in better shape before winter (I ride in the winter...I'm probably the only one in a 100 mile radius of my area that does) thanks so much though for the kind words I had someone tell me he was really poorly built so I wanted to see what my friends on horse forum thought cause that's what matters :) thanks again it means alot
