what type of treats can i give my horse?
What type of food can i give my horse after riding him for a treat. Things like apples carrots oatmeal cookies( not a lot)
Any other suggestions? i want to give him a variety. =]

store bought horsey treats, peppermints, sugar cubes... alfalfa cubes....

i gave my horse a mini chocolate cookie once xD
anything really :P I use to share a penut butter jelly sandwhich with the horses lol

After I ride I give my horses oats and they just love it!

but if your tlaking about after a ride I sometimes give a hand full of grain, or peppermints, Alfalfa hay stuff.

It all depends on the horse really - we have one that thinks everything except for horse food is poison and just chews it a little and spits it out (carrots, horse cookies, apples hates them!) The other horse eats anything really - she tries to spill sodas and beers to get a sip, will snag a mouthful of french fries if you aren't looking (quick as lightening over my shoulder in and out and my fries were ruined that day!) I guess there's obviously some things they shouldn't have, and all things in moderation, but try to find something they love and stick with that (french fries for Nela apparently)
