Sonny ~ ten year old allaround gelding~ pleez leave comments
I would love it if everyone would leave ALOT of comments, questions, or what you think his price should be. Thanks, love Courtney and Sonny.
*Sonny is a ten year old AQHA papered gelding. Sorrel with a white stripe and snip. He has two white socks, one on the right front and the other on the back left.
*I bought him a year ago for $3500 and I am selling him because I need a faster horse.
*On his papers he has champion western pleasure bloodlines, so I am abosulutely sure he could win at a high level there because he has nice slow gaits. He also has halter in his bloodlines. I have won several halter awards with him. He has a nice rounded butt, sturdy body, and great confirmation. No injurys.
* Sonny would make an excellent hunt/jump seat. He stands at 15.3 and has long legs. Even though I am a western rider I still think he has a great prospect for that.
*He is a great trail horse. Sonny has been entered in competitive trail classes and has won because of hes 360 spin. It is excellent, but he will also walk across water, around barrels, open gaits, and walk through hay bailes. He has also gone on many trail rides.
*Sonny would make an excellent kids or school horse. He is very gentle and boom-proof. Easy catch in the feild, easy stop, direct or neck rein, and verbal commands.
* Sonny has also had 30 days of professional barrel training. Now he is running a 18 to 20 seconds on every barrel run.
* Sonny is pretty much your all around kind of guy. He trailor loads by himself on the word load, stands well for the farrier and vet, and never bucks kicks or bites.
Please leave all the comments you want! I really want ya'alls opinions! Thanks- courtney and sonny
He's a nice looking horse and i'd give him a look over if I were in the market for a horse. $3500 seems like a fair price to ask on today's curret market. I'll assume he's up-to-date with all of his shots and has a current negative coggins?
Who does he have in his bloodline? That will also change prices depending on who it is that is the Champion
I'd say you could get $5000 for him.
But again it depends on the horse market in your area...yes normally a horse with more work would raise in value, but if the horse market is down...say the $2000 of value you added may not get you more than you spent
I would have to look in his papers * i think its sonny dee bar * do you have any idea where I can find his whole pedigree?
Ooh, he has Sonny Dee Bar?! My boy does also hehe. What's his registered name?
Sonny's AQHA papers

Courtney is my cousin. And I stayed at her house for a while. while I was there I hopped on Sonny bareback and I must say he was WONDERFUL to ride. He did everything I asked.
If I where in the market for an other horse, I would definitly consider Sonny.
Hes a gentle giant. Wonderful. Just wonderful.
Logan and Checkers
he is lovely, don't know much about western horses, but if he athletic i am sure he could do huntseat too.
I would check the classifeds on dreamhorse, horsetopia, equisearch, etc and look for comparable horses in your area.
Not many people want to pay to transport a horse very far right now. also the market is really down lots of places so getting a lot more than you paid could be difficult, but you can always start higher and go lower as needed, heck you might even be able to work out a trade for a "faster" horse as lots of people are looking for "slower" horses
