Where did you get it? How long have you had it?

Are you involved in horses other than this saddle? If not why did you get it?

The flower is very interesting, the other pic looks like there may be some dry rot. The style is very old, the larger seats can be more valuable. I am not familiar with the name on it, but that doesn't mean much because I am no expert.

This looks like an early 20th century bucket saddle that could have been sold by Sears, Robuck or Montgomery Ward--yes, Virginia, they sold saddles and shipped them! If not, it's maybe 1890 vintage. IF the tree is intact, you could have a saddler restore the rest of it. Some of these are built on 1974 or 1904 McClellan trees, hence the tapered, v-shaped pommel.

My dad has had this saddle for at least 20 years. We have several horse and are active riders. Thank you guys for your feed back. if you thought that saddle was interesting i will post the other I have that is really interesting.Attachment 78790

Altho many of the early cowboys rode in 14" seats, when women had to ride a few of the makers put out larger seated saddles. I suspect the first one was a ladie's saddle.
