Winter Clipping

I'm considering clipping my horse this winter. I work him hard often and the sweat is a real pain especially since he is 24/7 outdoor board. I only want to clip him a little NOT full body or anything along those lines. He needs to be able to withstand a Canadain winter with just his blanket, we CAN'T do indoor board. Any advice or suggestion would be great.

You can choose from many different kinds of clips. I clipped my roommate's horse for her last winter like this, it is a low trace clip. It worked out really well for her horse.

This website has a bunch of different clips

you could do a partial trace clip or something like that...as long as you have adequate blanketing, you should be fine...

Here's how I did my mare one year, and will be doing her again this year...
