A little rusty in driving...

I have volunteered at a horse rescue place, and there is a mare that she wants me to drive.
I haven't driven in a few years...what are some things that would be helpful?

If you do not know the history do lots of grpound work line driving and long lining. I would also use a drag before hitching if you didn't know how well broke the horse is either. I would also have someone drag something and make some noise behind her before hitching and see how she reacts. There is alot to it and we don't know your experience either.
