Them Mexican boys sure are ropey.... Hopefully I posted this video correctly.... Anyone who has roped will appreciate this. Also good watching for anyone who hasn't seen a Charro rodeo before. Not for the weak hearted. |
Looks fun :) I found the title hilarious because I once dated a guy who was Mexican of some sort and he was scared crapless of horses LOL |
That's a great find Cowchick! I have some of those on my youtube favorites. Wish I could read Mexican, so I could find all the good ones. I love Mexicans, they're great hands. To me (and this is just my opinion) their version of a reining class is much better than our U.S. shows. |

This one time at band camp... I mean southern CA. I went a Mexican's house in Norco. From the front it just looked like a regular crappy house in town, but the back was beautiful. He had a barn way nicer than his house for his Charro horses, a brick yard and a ring. This guy saddled a horse got on showed me what he could do and then let me ride him...it was freakin' awesome. |
They most certainly have some mad roping skills! There were a few horses in that vid that I'd not mind having in my pasture either. |

I know, it just blows my mind. Especially when they are standing still heeling a horse from the "wrong" side hauling ass! Then doing the ocean wave, butterfly and back hand front footing a horse, HOLY ****! |
I think we'd all be suprised at how many of these handy ropers are landscaping houses on the East coast or picking citrus in Florida and California. I once worked a construction job with a Mexican feller and he came over to my house and saw a rope lying next to a dummy. He ask me about it and I gave him a 15 minute lesson on how to swing and throw a rope that included me missing 3 out of 5 times. He then took the rope from me and proceeded to make some of the most fantastic shots I'd ever seen. He never missed once. |
Huh, that's interesting. I've never seen most of that before. I agree, there are some very nice horses in there. And !!HOLY CRAP!! to that rope work . |
