A Healthy Winter Coat?
So, I know for some people it's a little difficult to keep their horses looking their best during the winter. Horses can lose weight and muscle, become rugged looking and their coat may lose it's shine. I know that when winter rolls around and horses are at their fluffiest, their coat may become a bit dull. But what makes the horse have a good coat? What kind of things can an owner do to help attain a shiny coat in the winter? And what is an example of an unhealthy winter coat opposed to a healthy one?

Also, is her coat good or just average?

Raven turns into a wooley mammoth for the winter but I use vetrolin on her while I brush once a week and I get a ton of compliments on how soft and shiney her coat is. I love running my hand over it. I put the Vetrolin on the comb and brush her with it.
