Yay, 3'9

So lol its kinda funny cuz like 2 weeks ago I was all excited about doing like 3'6 in a grid and now I did a 3'3-3'9 course hehe I'm really improving fast!! And I even have a perfect auto release which I somehow just naturally do but any was my instructor said it was the best she's ever seen me jump and that next time we do a height lesson were gunna go for 4ft !!!! But the horse I lease is a school horse so he hasn't been asked to jump anywhere near 3' for a long time till I started riding him so I'm really proud of him cuz he wasn't even close to the rail :) hehe I gave him Candy cane flavoured treats, oh and he even did a perfect flying lead change which I've been teaching him how to do them, my instructor was really happy with it though cuz in July when I first started didn't with her I hadnt jumped more than a super small x and yeah :) sorry done rambling just like super excited!!oh and this summer I my horse will finally be 4 so I get to start training her, I'm supposed to train her western but I havnt done any western in almost a year so I'm kindof debating weather I should try train her to jump instead.... Or my cousin can train her western (just pleasure and trail rides) for now then I can teach her English and jumping when she's older so it's easier on her bones.... Hm idk lol sorry done ranting

Yay! congrats! 3'9" is when it really starts getting big. I love grids, they make you feel so successful!

Good luck!

Haha thanks, I didn't even think it was 3'9, I thought it was 3' lol and my instructor has this rule where she doesn't tell you how high it is until the lessons over haha

that sounds a little off for me.... id like to see some pics. bc anyone can "ride" a good school horse over 4ft if all they have to do is hang on

pep 12-17-2011 02:47 AM

I havnt done 4ft yet i did 3'9 and yeah I'll upload some pics later tomorrow but keep in mind I do ride 3-4 times per week 2-3 lessons and one hack, and he has only been a school horse a few months and he does refuse and run out if ur not riding properly and he doesn't take u seriously but yeah anyways I'll upload some pics tommorow

ChingazMyBoy 12-17-2011 06:20 AM

Are you saying that because you have lessons 3-4 times a week, you should be able to go from small x rails too 3'9 ft in five months?

It took me there years riding everyday on my own horse + several years before that of riding school horses to jump 1.15 metre. Just sayin'.

Different people learn at different speeds.
