Meet my trick minis :)

Just thought I'd share this new picture of Crimson (bay) and Doc (Black). Both I have trained to do various tricks. When I got Doc he had previously been shown at all the big AMHA shows. I've done mostly 4-h shows with him, however I did take him to a few mini shows too. My last and final year we qualified for State and came runner up for a State Medallion. Since I'm too old for 4-h and college has pretty much taken over my life he is mainly a pet now. But I've found he is much happier in parades, petting zoo's, and visiting the school childern than he is in the show ring! Doc knows how to stand on a pedastal, rear, he has also learned to walk on his hind legs (I showed a video on here a while back) and that's all.

Crimson is a little guy I got from a breeder as a two year old, mainly for his breeding. He is five now. I've shown him a little bit, and earned a championship in halter. Crimson knows how to take a bow, spanish walk, stand on a pedistal, shake, rear and will lay down when he feels like it :)

Thanks for the comments. I've trained a total of 7 minis different tricks. I first started learning trick training when I was about 11 with my first pony who was a mini x shetland gelding. Since then I've trained a few rescue minis that I've fostered as well as my own.

I've trained a few large horses too. I prefer the minis for tricks because they have such big personalities and just really seem to take to learning tricks better than big horses.
