The Christmas spirit, in cookies
post pictures here of your Christmas cookies, hopefully that you made, but that are at least HAND made.
These are my forte. Regular sugar cookies (thought I put a touch of grated candied ginger in the batter) , frosted with powdered sugar icing (and I add a touch of lemon zest and a wee bit of almond extract and /or rum)
Then , once the icing has dried hard, you can "paint" them with food coloring that is watered down a tiny bit, using fine tip brushes.
Love the chicken!!
I love the topmost horse one! So good! They're all super great though. :)
Also, my mom and I used to make those cookies ALL the time when I was little! I loved painting them so much. And they taste so good!
Maybe I can twist her arm into doing them again with me this year, I miss it.
Wallaby, what are you waiting for@! just do it! SOOOO easy to do.
That topmost horse is "you know who" . . . Mac!
Could you send me some, tiny? I can't tell if they are good or bad without tasting first!
Oh, they'e good, alright!
I'll have pics for you soon Caroline! Tonight we are going to make chocolate covered pretzels & 7 layer candy, friday we are doing cookies and red velvet whoopie pies with peppermint cream cheese filling. Pretty sure I'm going to gain 10 lbs just looking at the stuff :(
