9yr. Appy/Paso Confo

Alright, Thunder was a privatly caught Mustang, He is 9 years old and A trainer I use is almost positive he has Appalossa and Paso Fino in his ancestry....He stands at 14.2hh...Please critigue his confo and tell me what you would use him for if he were yours, he goes both english and western.....I was thinking on having him trained as a cutting horse or maybe reining, but I have a concern, Since he is a cross and unregistered, and I am only 16, if he were to be trained for something big time like cutting or reining would there be any open shows I could enter us in? I am not interested in money but do open shows have jackpots or something in them?

Aw, he's cute. He looks slighty cow-hocked to me, unless it's just the picture. :) Bit uphill, & short back.
Overall he looks pretty nice.

The man we got him from, had told us that he bought a permit 2 years earlier to go out and have 2 mustangs caught from I think it was wyoming, but not positive, He showed us the copy of the permit, well showed my father as well as some other legal papers, I got to see the other mustang as well, a beautiful dun, but now that you got me thinking about it we should have got copies for our selves, I am not sure if the man hired some one to herd the two up or if he did it himself but I know he showed legal documents to my father....It's been two years since we've had him but I still have the mans number, I may call some time soon and ask for copies and other information....To be honest with you I just wanted to get Thunder out of that place, the farm was nice and kept up but the way they treated him was wrong, dont get me wrong Thunder gave back twice as hard but he was just way to much for them so they went to using force and I had had enough just the 2 1/2 hours I was there and told my dad to load him up, and we took him home that day.....Any way I'll call the man and let you know what I find out about the additional info and see if I can have copies....

I love his face!

He is slightly cow hawked, uphill and has a small hip. He is very adorable though!

Appy/Paso

Gosh, he is a four wheel drive horse! lol I love those kinda horses...my Curly has appy in his background(he has that "swagger" of the old fashioned appy and body build) I would use him for trail and western and probably some gaming if he was mine. Is he fast? :)

Yes He is very fast, and loves to get in a gallop when he pulls the riens from my hands... It makes me so darn mad but we're working on it......
