New Castration Technique
Will be interesting to see where this goes, would make aftercare so much easier.

I always figured they cut them right off just to "prove" that the horse was castrated. Sounds 'way better -- after all, would our men cut off their "extras" when they can just get snipped instead like they do?

That's a good point, mama.

I personally don't care if the "boys" are still there, but seems like it would definitly lend itself to some crooked dealings at auctions with horses that don't have registration papers or the origninal health papers were "lost" etc. Or they could be sold as geldings when the aren't and I see some inexperienced people getting hurt.

Maybe they could tattoo them on the thigh or something to show they've been snipped? I think cryporchids should be tattooed if they didn't get the "shy" one, personally so "apparent " geldings now won't be suprising people down the road with nasty behavior and foals.

I'm paranoid also about them coming back to life, if you know what I mean..I have some friends that have been snipped and had a baby a few years later. This is still too new for me to trust it.
