My auntie is after giving up her horse :(
my auntie is called Ginny and she has a hackneyXarab which you can just about do anything with apart from ride her bareback. ginny tried to get on magic (her horse) and magic reared up and when we have held her and ginny hopped on she again reared up and wouldnt respond to ginny's aids. ginny suggested i get on magic as when ginny cant manage to get to farm due to work i go and jump magic and she seems to enjoy it so i hopped on and she was brilliant. ginny said to my mum what is the point in having that horse if it doesnt trust me. she does have a saddle that she got wilkinson in to measure it but she has had to get him back in due to the saddle and numnah rubbing on magics back and making her sore. he comes down to look at her tomorrow.
thanks and what shall we all do to help ginny and magic from not seperating?http://www.horseforum.com/userpix/41...in_field_1.jpg
Did she try ANY saddle to see whether horse is OK with her riding in saddle?
Hm-hm... Sorry to sound weird, but sometime horse's back and human bum don't match. For example, if she's really bonny. Or if she doesn't keep balance. Why I'm saying that is the fact horse was fine with you but reared with her. Something wrong health-wise I think.
Can she try to use thick bareback pad?
thanks for posting the photo again for me, it wouldnt work with me, lol.
she got patrick wilkinson in and got her saddle sorted out. we have to give magic a rest for 2 weeks to let her back heel up and then hopefully we are going to hop ginny on to see if all has improved. i did jump magic bareback 2 nights ago. 2 ft i jumped her bareback. will get some videos soon it was cool i nearly fell off lol
