Can anyone provide feedback on the Brid-Ovr
I was watching a video on braiding last night and the lady doing the braid was promoting the Brid-Ovr she maybe biased, I think she came up with the idea:D
In theory it looks like a great idea, it's a halter that you can slip off easily once you have put the bridle on, great for those days when you don't have a stall at a show. Does anyone actually own one, and is it as good in practice?
If you use a rope halter it's easy to remove it from under the bridle. Undo it, slide the noseband down around the nose and into his mouth. Work it over the bit and bring it out behind the bit. Done. To put it back on, just reverse the process.
I have never heard of that! It seems like a good idea in theory...
Alternatively, this even works with a nylon halter: undo the halter, slip it down over the nose, re-buckle the throatlatch area around the horse's neck+wrap the lead rope around the neck, then bridle and remove halter/lead rope from neck.
I use the rope halter at home, but I prefer to use a flat halter at shows, for no particular good reason
Someone else suggested just having a clip put on the noseband of a halter I have already
