Western Bridles! Come take a look!
I need some ideas of western bridles. I want one that i can take on the trails and it won't matter if it gets wet from rain or snow. And take it on some western classes in fairs. Now my QH doesn't like the one or two ear pieced headstalls for some reason? Some pictures would really help!!
IF you're going to be super hard on your trail bridle you might want to go for a nylon one like this Triple E Nylon Browband Headstall - Statelinetack.com .
You could maybe get away with using it at some local saddle club shows if you get one in brown or black (unless you're just planning on doing gaming stuff then you can go all out hot pink if you want!) Anything bigger than that I would say invest in a leather headstall. The nylon one is relatively inexpensive so you might want to go ahead and get both.
Here's a nice, reasonably priced, simple leather headstall that should work fine for local shows and fairs.

I agree with a Nylon headstall. It doesn't matter if it gets wet. It is very durable. And you don't really have to take care of it, like you would leather. They come in every color imaginable, and patterns too.
You could also get a synthetic leather headstall. Same benefits as nylon, but it looks like leather with out the care. They come in different shades of brown (like actual leather) or black.
And both of these you can get at just about any tack shop or horse catalog or online.
Most tack is pretty durable so long as you don't make a habit of stomping it into the mud on a daily basis.
Look at the Biothane tack. It looks like leather and wears wonderfully. I have 2 horses that have Biothane bridles and I absolutely love them. I like the "Feel" of the biothane. My hubby does not.. he wants only leather.. so it is a very personal choice. But look at one.
