Do you think Bronc Riding is COOL or CRUEL? Please vote & state your opinion down below. |
It's both. But more cool I think. Still, the horse has a job. |
Just like there are bad horse riders in every event and sport, there are bad stock contractors too. I don't let the bad ones make my judgement of the sport itself. The good stock contractors bucking stock LOVE to buck. They are well taken care of. They know what their job is. Their rigging is adjusted properly before each ride. And the looks on their faces say that they quite enjoy it when they can buck a cowboy into the dirt. |
i dont really see how it's a sport, but then again i don't see how most things involving animals are considered a sport |

To me, a sport is anything physically active that you have spent time, money, and effort into it by practicing, learning, and becoming better at it. Saddle bronc and bareback bronc riders have to practice, just like I would practice barrel racing. Or like a dog and their owner would practice for an Extreme Dog Competition. Or how a racehorse is conditioned and practice their strategy. But that's what I consider sports. |
i think it looks like a ton of fun. don't know anything about the industry, though. |
The horses are athletes. Bred, born, raised and trained to do what they do. |
I don't understand how it is considered cruel? |

It is cool, but like someone has said, it can be cruel if someone doesn't actually care about their animals. A horse that enjoys his job and is healthy is fun to watch, though. |
