How should I trim his hair

Just wondering if its getting too long, stringy. I did buy some detangler and for the past few months have been working on brushing it out and stuff. Hopefully it will fill out and become more fluffy but i think maybe it needs to be trimmed/clipped some.

thoughts?

It looks great

But I hope you don't mind me asking, what's going on with his shoulder?

Your horse's mane is quite similar in length to Warhorse's. Looks just as good as well.

Some horses will always have a thick mane, some will have thin . Its mostly genetics, just like some people have thick hair, some have thin and some are bald.
Just be happy its as long as it is, I had a horse that was lucky to grow a mane 3 inches long his whole life.
