Recommendations for a farrier/trimmer in okc?

Hi, all!

I'm having a dickens of a time finding a farrier/trimmer to work on my horse.
Does anyone know of any good carriers in the OKC area?
I've searched the internet and put out the word but nothing has come back. My horse is in need of a trim and I'm beginning to worry.

I only have one horse so I can understand the lack of appeal to a farrier to just do one horse.
But I always have money in hand and my horse is well behaved.
Am I doing something wrong? I get one to show up and after one visit, they disappear.

I don't have any recommendations for you but for the one visit and they disappear thing, that seems to be OK. I found when I first moved here that they were a lot of guys who could trim decently, but they were looking for their Saturday rodeo money and once they had it.....pooof! They were on the Rodeo trail and you may or may not ever hear from them again. If you find a really good one.....do whatever ya gotta to keep him, it's tough.

Makes me mad!
I'm half tempted to learn how to do a proper trim myself. After schooling of course. ;)
