A little help discovering what she is?

I was given a horse and she is not registered and has no papers. I absolutly love her so much! She is adorable and such a sweetie! I've looked into what she may be and I really can't think of anything. So could some of you possibly use your awesome horse knowledge and possible help figure out what she may be? :)
She is 11.2 hh
700lbs at the withers. 800lbs as of right now around her belly. (That's the baby!)
She has a short neck and is quite stocky.
Her name is Penelope.
The last picture I am giving her a hug (:

Looks like she might be a POA or POA cross.

I second POA or POA cross.

CowgirlK 02-03-2012 01:10 PM

I never thought of that! :) Thank you! I at first thought she was part of a draft pony because she is so stocky. I think I can set a tea set on her behind now and it won't spill!

her mane makes her a def Appy cross, so POA.

Appy or appy cross because of the mane. She's precious.

POAs are Appy based, which is why you see typical Appy characteristics.

The foundation stallion, Black Hand, was a pony born of an Arabian/Appaloosa mother and a Shetland father.

I'd be surprised if you didn't see Appy characteristics in a POA.

That's interesting. I did not know the background of POA, only that they had some appy in them. the ones I have seen are really beautiful horse/ponies

Wow! That is very interesting! I did not know that at all :) I thought she was part draft because of her stockyness. Never an Appy, but this is exciting to what her baby may be! Thank you for all your input it's great! :D Any more opinions are more than welcome!
