Lump on back of leg
I have a pacer who has developed a lump on his front right leg. The lump is on the back of his leg at the top, is now the size of a tennis ball. The lump is soft and doesn't seem to hurt him. How is the best way to treat this ?
Is the lump on the joint/"elbow?" Is there heat? Any idea what may have brought it on? How long since you first noticed it? How big was it when you first saw it? Is your horse itchy there?
Can you post a picture of it?
Could be a shoe boil. Some horses get them from hitting themselves with a back hoof when they lie down/stand up.
