I love them as well… They are one of the most versatile breeds out there. Sometimes they aren’t the nicest animals to look at, but all breeds have that. Growing up my sister had a QH that was a trail horse, competitive in western pleasure, gamed, and did cow work… she wouldn’t lose her head either. I like the girls I have now and wouldn’t change them for anything…not to say that I would never get into another breed but my main background (with the exception of the “learner” pony) will always be with the great American Quarter Horse.

I grew up with QH, absolutely love them. I'm a traitor now and have other breeds that I appreciate and love. But there's just something unbeatable about that muscular physique and quiet mind of a Foundation Type QH!!!

I like qh's too! although they tend to be a bit shorter than what i'd like, they are very versatile and athletic. The majority of the lessons horses I've ridden have been quarter horses, and they always seem to have an easy going personality. My friend had a quarter pony growing up, and he could be ornery at times but point him at any jump and he knew his job.

My very first horse was Cocoa, a QH (who I still have actually) and then last year I got a TN Walker, Angel. Although I loved loved loved her gait, I have to say that selling her and getting another QH (Toby) was the best move I ever made.
They are versatile, honest, level headed, good horses. Toby is a great companion and a terrific horse.
So even after all these years, QH's are still my favorite breed to own.

I love them!! they are a really dependable western horse....
i just don't like what they are doing with the halter horses... they look like they are on steriods and can barely move!!

I love my QH's... I love the personalities and the look and everything about them... Most of mine are short and stocky and old style and even my baby is not as big as the ones you see at Lexington.. I can't believe how tall and long legged they are now!
I love them...
